coaches conflicts

There actually should be no conflicts ever between opposing coaches at the rec level but where there is conflict, it is usually where a coach feels they need to interact with a coach on the other team about something that should be brought to the attention of the umpire.  Getting in a disagreement with another coach is a no-win situation for both teams, the league and the organization and it rarely is effective.

So, here are your options:

  1. Maybe it is something that just will happen once and letting it go is many times the best option.

  2. If the other team is doing something you feel is unfair, call time and have the head coach take it to the attention of the umpires(s).  They should be able to resolve this issue then without interacting with the other coach.  The umpires will report to the General Manager after the game and the GM will take action accordingly.  The umpires are instructed to contact the GM if they are not sure what to do and if they feel it is important enough to call the GM.

  3. If it is a safety issue that you feel must be handled immediately and you have talked with the umpires and are not satisfied, contact the GM.

  4. If it is something that can wait, complete this form to submit a complaint.

THE OPTION YOU DO NOT HAVE IS TO GET IN A HEATED CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER COACH.
